Benefits of Recreation
When children and youth participate in recreation activities that are well-organized, of high quality and offer regular opportunities for involvement it contributes to their healthy development and well-being. Children and youth participate in organized recreation activities in a variety of settings, including before and after-school programmes, school based extracurricular programmes, camps, sports clubs, social clubs and cultural groups.

Fee Assistance
- The Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington provides financial help for children in need so they can participate in recreation activities.

Child Care Subsidy may be available for children to attend approved camps and recreation programmes. To receive Subsidy, families need to be financially eligible and have a need for care such as working or attending school.
