Parenting Children and Youth Programmes

The Canadian Mental Health Association of Waterloo Wellington offers Strengthening Families, an 11 week, educational program for families with teens ages 7-16.  During the 11 weeks, families have fun while learning skills that contribute to healthier, happier homes.

  • Learn new skills each week, improve your communication and learn about resources and topics important to child development.
  • Gain new insights into your family.
  • Skills learned here will help children to make better choices in the future.
  • Children and parents meet separately to learn skills in an open and engaging way, then join up as a family again to put it all together.
  • Dinner is provided so you don’t have to cook! You only need to get the family there on time.
  • There is no cost to attend.

For more information, or to register, contact the Strengthening Families Coordinator at CMHAWW 519-821-8089.
