Here you will find resources to help you settle in to the country.
- The Immigrant Services Guelph-Wellington offers Settlement Workers in Schools in Guelph-Wellington to assist students and their parents with their settlement needs.
- www.newyouth.ca is an online community for immigrant and refugee youth that are new to Ontario.
English help
In Wellington County and Guelph there are supports to help you if you would like to develop your English skills.
- If you are attending a publicly funded school they will be able to support you to develop your English skills.
- Wellington Catholic District School Board has information about their Multilingual Learners Program.
- Contact the Upper Grand District School Board for information about the supports they can provide.
- Learn more about English Literacy Development programmes in Ontario.
Interpretation services are available for you when you access family physicians, or mental health and community support services in Waterloo and Wellington Counties. To access these services, family physicians or clinicians need to contact the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural centre at 519-745-2593.
