Where to get help
There are different programmes and supports to help pregnant or young parents in our community:
- Teenage Parents Program (TAPPs) is a free programme in Guelph that offers support for young parents between the ages of 14 and 25.
- Guelph Young Parent Education Program provides academic support for pregnant teens and teen parents to earn credits towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and gain life skills.
- LEAP - Learning, Earning and Parenting assists young parents receiving Ontario Works with personal supports and financial incentives to promote participants to graduate high school.
Places to live for pregnant or parenting youth
- Michael House provides shelter and support for pregnant and parenting young women in Guelph.
- Ramoth House provides shelter and support for pregnant and parenting young women in Mount Forest.
