Birth to Six Standing Committee

The Birth to Six Standing Committee brings together key representatives from local agencies and service providers to support growth and development of young children from birth to six and their families. The committee works to connect services, reduce barriers, and build a stronger, more coordinated early years system.

Working Together for Impact

By working together, committee members aim to:

  • Advance GGG priorities for young children birth to six through strategic work plans that guide long-term coordinated action.
  • Engage families and front-line providers to gather feedback, strengthen communication and ensure services reflect community needs.
  • Collaborate across agencies to navigate the complexity of the early years system and enhance access to high-quality, connected supports.
  • Apply data, research, and policy insights to inform decision-making, evaluate impact, and improve service outcomes.
  • Share key findings and insights with the GGG Planning Table to respond to emerging needs and inform broader system-level planning.

The Birth to Six Standing Committee is co-led by the Director of Children’s Early Years with the County of Wellington and the Director of Community Health with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health.
