A Day of Connection, Collaboration, and Learning
Hosted by the Growing Great Generations Birth to Six Standing Committee, the Birth to Six Interprofessional Forum is an annual gathering that brings together service providers, health and social service navigators, and referral specialists in Wellington-Guelph who support children from birth to six years old and their families.
The inaugural forum took place in May 2025, welcoming more than 130 participants. Building on this momentum, the event will return in 2026 with fresh topics and learning opportunities.
Planning is underway for the 2026 Birth to Six Interprofessional Forum! Coming Spring 2026, stay tuned for details.
Forum Highlights
The forum offers participants the chance to:
- Strengthen Collaboration
Engage in facilitated discussions focused on shared goals, partnership-building, and staying connected across sectors. - Gain Practical Insights
Hear from local organizations and service providers about their roles, programmes, and referral processes to better support families through inter-agency collaboration. At the 2025 forum, participants heard from representatives from Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington, County of Wellington, Family and Children’s Services of Guelph-Wellington, KidsAbility Centre for Child Development, and Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health. - Explore Local Data
Access presentations on community trends, needs, and survey findings. In 2025, presentations on the Cycle 6 Early Development Instrument (EDI) and the Well-Being and Health Youth Survey (WHY) provided a high-level look at local trends and needs. A guided Knowledge and Data Mobilization session helped bring the data to life and sparked meaningful conversations. -
Share Knowledge and Build Relationships
Exchange ideas, best practices, and strategies through both structured table discussions and informal networking opportunities.
