Welcome to the Wellington Children’s Early Years Community Services Professional Development Portal serving the County of Wellington and the City of Guelph.

Who is Eligible to Participate?

Parameters for participation are in place to ensure equitable access for early years professionals working in the Wellington service delivery area and alignment with funding criteria.

Priority for participation at no cost will be given to Programme and Non-Programme staff who work in the Wellington service delivery area in the following early years settings:

  • Licensed child care (centre-based and home-based),
  • Authorized Recreation programmes,
  • School board operated programmes,
  • EarlyON Child & Family Centres,
  • Special Needs Resourcing,
  • School board operated Full-Day Kindergarten, and
  • Growing Great Generations Birth to Six Working Group

What you need to know about our Professional Development Portal

Professional learning opportunities delivered through the Early Years Professional Development Portal are coordinated by the County of Wellington Children’s Early Years Division. These services are made possible through dedicated provincial funding to the County of Wellington as part of their role as the municipal services system manager.

Facilitation of Professional Learning Opportunities

The County of Wellington Children’s Early Years Capacity Building team, our community partners, early learning peers and guest presenters will facilitate professional learning opportunities.

Location of Professional Learning Opportunities

Professional learning opportunities will take place in locations throughout the Wellington service delivery area.
